Clearances

A player may need a clearance from their previous club / team when transferring to a new one. This is unlikely, but may be due to outstanding fees, for example. Clearances are visible for all competitions across all levels - this function cannot be turned off. Clearances are linked directly to the registration product, so they appear across every single competition.

Competitions have different rules for clearances. Whilst some organisations may not use them between seasons, there are some that do require a clearance between seasons.

The process is:

- Player registers – the player registers to the club they intend to play for

- New club requests a clearance – only if required, the new club changes the clearance status for the player from Pending to Required (Not Required can be chosen if applicable)

- Previous club actions clearance – the previous registered club approves or declines clearance

- New club checks clearance – the new club checks the clearance request has been actioned

Clearances that don’t need to be actioned can sit on the clearance page and be left there.
