Activate Finals

The function of Activating Finals calculates and transposes the completed match ladder data into your Match Day finals slots based on your selected finals formats.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Before you can activate your finals, ensure that you have created a finals format. You will know if you have created a finals format, as your finals templates will be visible in the Match Day > Matches list.
• When publishing finals to Match Day please publish all rounds at the same time, ie you have three rounds of finals, publish them together as the rounds link to each other. Ie Round 2 finals, link to Round 1 finals etc, if they are not published together Round 2 finals will not populate with the teams and you will have to do this manually in Match Day.

Process:

- Select the Match Day module

- Select the Competition of interest

- Hover over Competition Details

- Select Matches

- Hover over Action

- Select Activate Finals

- Choose which divisions you would like to activate finals for.

Select the divisions you would like to activate finals for. These matches will populated with the teams playing in finals. The will be visible in Match Day > Matches list, on the Fixtures page and in the Netball Connect app. If the teams are not populating please follow the troubleshooting steps below.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If you find after publishing, ending all games, and activating finals the teams are not populating into the finals rounds please follow the steps below to rectify.

Go to the last round that has been played, for each game in that last round click on the match ID > Edit > take note of the final scores > Un-End Match > Save, click the same Match ID > Edit > Enter final scores > Select End Match. This will ensure teams will populate in the finals games.
